  • Develop a job training program to match eligible candidates in the underemployed populations identified in the BLocal program with job opportunities in the commercial real estate industry that provide a living wage and sustainable employment. Our plan includes partnering with a local building management association to develop a building management training program (i.e. HVAC, electrical, building maintenance, energy management, security). Similarly, we will choose an affiliated local employment-focused nonprofit organization to aid in recruiting candidates seeking basic skills training for entry level placement or advanced programs for specialized training and career growth.

Year One Progress: Continuing to develop this job training program.

Direct Investment

  • Funding for the job training program will be generated by voluntary contribution on the part of leading broker professionals in our Baltimore and Columbia offices.

Year One Progress: Continuing to collect voluntary contributions from broker professionals to fund the job training program.
