Hire Goals
Through HopkinsLocal, Johns Hopkins University and Health System have identified a group of targeted positions and consistently increased the percentage of new hires into those positions that come from focus areas where the need for employment is great.
The goal is to increase participation to 52 percent by the end of FY26 while expanding the list of positions.
In addition, the HR departments of the university and health system are working to:
- Broaden access to employment at Johns Hopkins University and Health System for citizens with criminal records
- Develop programming to support the retention and career advancement of local hires
